A Chester Engagement Session | Jack & Jen

Jack and Jennifer’s Summer engagement session was at Point of Rocks Park, near their home in Chester. They wanted someplace that held a special meaning to them and the beautiful greenery did not disappoint!
I met both Jack and Jennifer through my husband, who works with them, and we all used to live in the same apartment complex. Jack and Jennifer are the absolute sweetest together and I was incredibly excited when they first began dating. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing global pandemic, they have been forced to make some adjustments to their wedding, including splitting the ceremony and reception to different dates. No matter what happens, their wedding is going to be amazing!
My favorite part of their engagement session was learning about the amazing history of Jennifer’s engagement ring:
“It was my Grandma Millie’s ring. She was my best friend growing up. She died when I was seventeen. A few days before she died, she told me she wanted me to have the ring for when I got engaged. I grew up hearing stories of Grandma Millie and Grandpa Chuck and how perfect their love was. I never knew him because he died before I was born. Both of them had polio but never let it stop them. The ring initially had 1 diamond, but the story goes that Grandpa Chuck went to get the ring polished. He claimed that during the process, the diamond flew out of the setting and into a container of other diamonds. They couldn’t tell which of 3 diamonds was the original, so he had them all put in the ring. One diamond for each of their 3 kids. Obviously he just got those diamonds added, but it’s a fun story.”
I am so excited for October/May! Thank you for letting me be apart of your big day!
