Corinne and Andrew exchanged vows at the beautiful St. Thomas Episcopal Church followed by a stunning and lively reception at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art.

Corinne and Andrew completed their gorgeous wedding with so many unique and detailed items that truly showcased them as a couple. The highlight of the reception was without a doubt the incredible ice sculpture of Toby, their three legged rescue dog! Instead of a traditional guest book, Corinne and Andrew decided on a Sea Bag, a tote bag made from recycled sail cloth. Corinne grew up on the water, so incorporating her love for sailboats and watersports was a natural fit for the wedding.

To honor Andrew’s Ukrainian heritage, the couple chose to have a Korovai (traditional wedding bread) in lieu of a wedding cake. The Korovai is steeped in folklore – for example, an even bake is a good omen, while a cracked top is a sign of bad luck ahead. Korovai is usually decorated with elements from nature that symbolize unity and longevity.

Corinne and Andrew went to high school together in Richmond and started dating towards the end of senior year. They dated long-distance through college, with lots of trips back and forth between Boston and Charlottesville. Over the next few years they visited each other as often as possible and traveled together all over the world. Andrew graduated from UVA in 2017 and moved to DC. Corinne graduated from Northeastern in 2018 and started grad school at Stanford, and a year after that Andrew moved out west to join her.

Their time in California ended up being pretty short-lived because they decided to leave at the beginning of the pandemic. They moved back to Richmond in May of 2020 and adopted their rescue puppy Toby. In 2021 Corinne’s program required her to be back on campus for the fall semester, so they packed up and headed back out west.
