Boathouse at Sunday Park Wedding | Midlothian, Virginia

April and Steven tied the knot in a beautiful Catholic ceremony followed by a perfect reception at Boathouse at Sunday Park with the most stunning sunset!

This wedding was absolutely bursting with color! From bright and beautiful flowers to citrus accents on tables, decor and the seating chart, I couldn’t stop smiling at all the bright pops of color.

The signature drink of the evening, “The Duggan” was named after the couple’s beloved dog Duggan. Although he was unable to be there himself, he was at doggy camp celebrating his birthday and living it up with his furry firends!

April and Steven met in October of 2018 at Beaumont Hospital (in Michigan) where she was working as an Interventional Radiology Technologist and he was doing his anesthesia residency. He rotated through her department and she thought he was SO CUTE! All of April’s coworkers knew how she felt and so they kept making her go into that lab “to work” aka just be around him. They talked a little, but nothing happened at first.

Fast forward to March 2019 when they went on their first date and immediately clicked! At the end of the night when they said their goodbyes, Steven asked April to go on another date that Friday and of course, she said yes! However, Steven couldn’t wait that long and invited April to join him and some friends the very next day. From that moment they were inseparable.

After dinner, we took off towards the dock to take some amazing sunset portraits with the newlyweds. The clouds, sunset colors and glow off the water created the perfect mix for stunning pictures!
