Mary and Garret’s decided on the most perfect and meaningful engagement session location: Mary’s family farm in the mountains of Virginia. During their sunrise engagement session we explored the rolling hills, family chicken pen and beautiful fall colors of the farm.

Mary and Garrett first met when their roommates introduced them! Their roommates Sam and Kelsey were dating each other and they decided to set Mary and Garrett up on a blind date. They went to Cookout because it was the only restaurant in town that was still open past 8:00 PM. Garrett didn’t know he was on a date until after the date when Sam told him. It all worked out in the end because Sam gave Garrett Mary’s phone number, and the rest is history!

How He Proposed:

I had on cute clothes for most of the day. Then we went to the barn to take my horse Mandy for a walk in the woods. I changed out of my cute clothes, and Garrett didn’t even try to stop me. We went on our walk and we came out into a clearing that was very pretty, so we were looking. Then I was finished looking, so I started to walk away with Mandy, but Garrett stopped me, and he got down on one knee, and he said he loved me and asked me to marry. I said I think so. And then I said yes.

Mary and Garrett are getting married in Spring of 2023 in Charlottesville. I can’t wait to celebrate with them!
