After getting rained out the first time, Jessica and Jon didn’t let chilly temperatures and freezing wind stop them from laughing through their engagement session. Joined by their adorable pup Benji, the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. explored downtown Richmond throughout their session.
Starting at the Branch Museum of Architecture and Design, Jessica and Jon told me all about how they met, their plans for Jessica’s bachelorette party (a cruise!) and their love for Disney and board games. After strolling around Monument Ave, we headed to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and ended our session at Maymont.
Jessica and Jon met through Tinder. He was the first and only date Jessica went on through dating apps. After chatting for a few weeks, they met up for a first date and the rest is history!
Jessica and Jon were getting ready to go to her parent’s house for Christmas dinner and Jon had slipped the ring in her pocket. Jessica found it when she was making sure she had everything and joked, “Is this the story we are gonna tell our kids? Us standing next the the fridge?” obviously unimpressed according to Jon. So her took the ring back. Later that night, Jon was having them do one of his family’s Christmas tradition where he reads a part from the bible and they sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. He gathered Jessica’s family around the table to read this passage, looked down at her and said, “Jess what did you do?” Confused since she hadn’t done anything, Jon pulled the ring out of the bible proposing in front of her entire family!
