First Landing State Park Engagement Session | Virginia Beach, Virginia

On Jennifer and John’s first date they went to Fort Monroe in Hampton, Virginia where they spent an afternoon at the beach. For their engagement session, we went to First Landing State Park at sunset to capture their love of the beach and eachother.
How They Met
Jennifer and John met on online during the summer of 2020. It all started with John commenting on Jenn’s fly fishing picture, “Is that a trout?” They soon discovered that they shared a love and passion for being outdoors!
The Proposal
Over Memorial Day John asked Jenn’s dad for permission to marry her. The next weekend Jenn’s parents were coming down to Virginia Beach for vacation and (unknown to Jenn) brining her grandmothers ring down for John to use for the proposal. While strolling along the beach, John started asking a lot of questions about their future and how much she loved him. John then got down on one knee and proposed! It was a very special moment as Jenn’s parents were able to capture the movement and be there to celebrate with them.
