State Capitol & Libby Hill Engagement Session | Richmond, Virginia
Associate: Kylie
On an early Sunday morning, Grace and Joseph met me at the Virginia State Capitol building for their engagement session. After walking around Capitol Square we made our way to Libby Hill for the second half of their session.
Grace and Joseph met in college through mutual friends while studying together for classes. Initially Grace had no interest in dating Joseph, but he asked her to get bubble tea with him several times and eventually she said yes. After that, they started spending more time together. Sometimes Grace had to stay late in her lab, and Joseph would come to main campus to walk her back home without her asking. Grace saw how genuine and caring he was and the rest is history!
Grace had a random open three day weekend so they semi-spontaneously planned a trip to Chincoteague. Grace wasn’t sure if it was going to happen because right before they drove out there, Joseph wondered if they should cancel the trip because it was so smoggy due to the Canadian wildfires. They decided to go and went exploring on bikes. That night, one of Grace’s friends called her right as Joseph said he had to go out to the beach and look for his lost credit card. Grace thought it was a little odd because it would’ve just been easier to cancel the credit card at that point. Grace wanted to go with him since she wanted to go to the beach at night, but he insisted she stay and talk to her friend. Joseph came back and urgently said that they needed to go back to the beach. After walking for what seemed like forever along the beach, Joseph sat Grace down and told her to look at the sky for a satellite that was supposed to fly by. Suddenly lights in the shape of a heart lit up around her! It was cloudy but at that moment the clouds parted and a full moon emerged!
“Joseph is earnest, reliable and kind.”
“She is thoughtful, funny and I love her smile.”
