Megan and Luke chose beautiful Morrow Mountain State Park for their fall engagement session. Luke and Megan, both from New Salem, went to preschool together. Megan just finished her associates degree in nursing and is working at Atrium Health. Megan has always loved caring for people for as long as she can remember, so being a nurse was a natural career path for her. Luke is a heavy machinery diesel mechanic at Carolina CAT. Throughout his entire childhood he was always into something! He loved to take his toys apart and put them back together.
Morrow Mountain State Park, offers camping, paddling, fishing, horseback riding, swimming and so much more. Morrow Mountain is one of the highest peaks in the Uwharrie Mountains of central North Carolina. With more than 15 miles of hiking trails and 16 miles of bridle trails thread the park, reaching from the summit of Morrow Mountain to Lake Tillery, where a boathouse offers canoes and rowboats for rent and bait for fishing. This location offered a variety of backgrounds from lake, to woods and of course, the mountain top.
Megan and Luke met when they were in preschool and stayed friends all throughout school. They reconnected their Junior year of high school, starting dating, and have been inseparable ever since! They fell in love because they never failed to make each other laugh and quickly became best friends.
Their proposal was intimate and perfect. Megan and Luke went out to the field where they are planning to build their home. Luke got down on one knee and popped the question! It was very sweet and was just the two of them.
