Belle Isle Engagement Session | Richmond, Virginia
Natalie and Tyler, joined by their adorable dog Maggie explored beautiful Belle Isle at sunset for their engagement session. Walking along the James River, they told me all about their love for adventure, hiking and traveling!
Natalie and Tyler met at karaoke night at dive bar. After being introduced by a mutual friend, there was no denying the connection!
Natalie and Tyler planned a trip to Colorado. Avid hikers, they planned to go to Rocky Mountain National park. Staying in a little cabin in Estes park, they woke up before sunrise and drove to RMNP. They began their hike just as the sun was coming up so it was pretty chilly still but beautiful. They hiked of the lakes: Bear Lake, Nymph Lake, Dream Lake and Emerald Lake, which took them about 2.5 hours. They decided to go to Lake Haiyaha, being roughly 2 miles from where they currently were and wanted to stop there and eat lunch. Little did they know that the 2 miles hike would be pretty intense! There was a rock slide a few weeks prior so they had to walk through these crazy rock scrambles. After walking across the shore, they saw a rock out in the water they wanted to try and get to. Tyler started walking ahead of Natalie at a pretty fast pace but she didn’t think anything of it. After following behind Tyler and catching up, Natalie looked to her left and Tyler was down on one knee with a ring! After a brief crying/hugging/kissing moment, they set up a picnic and ate lunch before hiking back down glacier gorge. Once they returned to the cabin, they called their parents who had been waiting all day for the call because they all knew it was going to happen!
“He is caring, funny and insanely smart.”
“She is sweet, goofy, and I love her bubble butt.”
