Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens Engagement | Richmond, Virginia
Despite the 104° weather and full sunshine, Grace and Grant didn’t let it phase them at all! Starting off in the rose gardens we walked along the beautiful trails at Lewis Ginter, admiring the flowers, trees and gorgeous scenery.
Grace and Grant met over a Presidents’ Day weekend. Grant had some good and cringy pickup lines about chemistry, as Grace is a chemical engineer. For their first date, Grace suggested a hike and a stop at a brewery. Grace had gone hiking the week before and had hiked this route previously giving her a false sense of confidence. On that particular day, there was bad weather and freezing rain/snow making Grace lose her way along the trail. Due to the weather and the trail being completely empty, Grant was glad it was Grace who suggested this hike as there were definitely some serial killer vibes. They then had an amazing time at the brewery discussing their love of music and traveling, and the rest is history!
Grant and Grace plan on traveling to each national park and taking pictures and videos together at the main signs. So far they have 6 of 63 down. Grant had originally planned on proposing to Grace in Glacier National Park over the week of July 4th. However, after thinking about it Grant decided he couldn’t wait that long. Since they already had a planned trip to Dry Tortugas National Park in Florida, Grant decided that would be the perfect trip for proposing, especially since Grace loves the beach! They had a good time touring and exploring Dry Tortugas and went to do their video and pictures at the park sign. Grant said he “forgot” to hit record on the first video and had to redo it. After getting the video and ring ready, Grant started proposing. At first Grace started yelling at him that he promised to not fake propose again as Grant had a habit of teasing Grace about proposing. She quickly realized this was not a prank and immediately said, “Yes!”
“His sense of humor, his kind heart, and his adventurousness.”
“Her beautiful Smile, The way she looks at me, and how sweet cute kind and smart she is.”
