Virginia Museum of Fine Art Engagement Session | Richmond, Virginia
For their engagement session, Mia and Curtis explored the grounds of the VMFA on a perfect fall day with their adorable pups Cooper and Milo!
Mia and Curtis met in 10th grade at one of the famous house parties Curtis would always throw. Although Mia and Curtis attended different schools, they had a few mutual friends. When being introduced to each other for the first time Curtis just said, “Hi” and walked away!
Curtis rented a party bus and invited all of their closet friends out to a tacky light tour. Every year since their first year of dating, Mia and Curtis go looking at Christmas lights together. At first it seemed as if it was just another year of looking at lights, until they got off the bus at a particular house. You are not allowed to leave the buses anymore during tours due to neighbors complaining of people leaving trash in their yards. Once they got off the bus, Mia noticed there was a man standing in-between two cars in the dark with flowers. Mia’s first thought was someone was getting proposed to, and she wanted front row seats! Little did she know, she was the one getting proposed to! Curtis pulled Mia to the front of this house that had a mistletoe and said they were taking a picture with everyone. Mia started to ask everyone to get in the picture, and then Curtis turned to her and said, “I love you so much!” and got on one knee. Mia and all of their friends were shocked as Curtis had kept it a secret from everyone!
“I love his work ethic and determination. I love how passionate he is about about all of his dreams and goals in life. Lastly, I love how he pushes me to be the best version of myself.”
“I love how Mia is always there for me when ever I need her, even if she is busy, she will stop what she is doing to help and listen. The way she is with animals and kids is amazing. I love how gentle and nurturing she is with them. I also love how Mia is very family orientated and always makes time for my family and hers.”
