Libby Hill Engagement Session | Richmond, Virginia
Sarah and Bradley braved the freezing cold for their Libby Hill engagement session. Both being Pediatric Resident Doctors, their schedules are quite busy and luckily we found a day that worked for both of them. The star of the show was of course their adorable dog Basil!
After spending several years long distance due to Medical school, they are both now in Richmond and are planning for their May wedding.
Sarah and Bradley met for the first time at college orientation at the University of South Carolina. Bradley was in a physics class with Sarah’s roommates and came over one night to study. She thought (and still thinks) that physics is boring and came out to chat and play music. Bradley liked Sarah’s taste in music (golden oldies) and they started talking!
While in Florida visiting Sarah’s family, Bradley planned a day trip to St. Petersburg. Sarah was suspicious as Bradley usually doesn’t plan as in depth as he had planned this day trip. Bradley got recommendations of the best places to go and to eat from his roommate who was from the area. They spent the day eating good food and drinking at rooftop bars. Around sunset they walked out on the mile long pier so that he could pop the question. Bradley found a good spot to stop and began talking to Sarah (there were literally dolphins swimming beneath them). He eventually got down on one knee and popped the question and Sarah said yes, much to the excitement of the small crowd that had gathered. Afterward, they walked back to land and he surprised Sarah with dinner reservations with their families.
“Sarah is the most loyal person I know. She is ride or die for the people she really cares about and does not hesitate to have anyone’s back. She does everything in her power to be there for her family and friends. I love just seeing her when she gets excited. It’s not one thing, but a bunch of little things: a snarky laugh, a little wiggle she does, and just genuine joy. She just makes me feel excited too. She is a perfectionist to a fault. When she does something, she needs it to be exactly as she wants it which is often meticulously done. What this means is that everything she does for other people, she pours herself into it and doesn’t want anyone else (friends, family, etc.) to have to settle for anything better than the best.”
“I love how kind he is. He constantly goes out of his way to help other people without a second thought and just loves every minute of it. I love how much he loves his family. He has always been very family centered and it’s great to see what a great brother, son, and uncle he is. I love how he is always striving to be better, whether that be a better partner, better doctor or better friend.”
