Lauren and Chris decided upon historic downtown Clifton for their engagement session on a beautiful Fall day. Clifton has maintained the charm and feeling of a Rockwell painting. The small town has been around since the 1700’s and is bursting with charm and history.

How They Met

Lauren and Chris first met at the gym! Lauren had been not so stealthily trying to catch Chris’ attention for a few months but he was so focused on his workouts that he didn’t notice her. Lauren eventually mustered up the guts to hand him a note with her phone number on it and the rest is history!

The Proposal

Lauren, Chris and some close friends had plans for a trip for a friend’s birthday around that time. Chris had asked that friend if it would be okay to propose on the trip because Lauren’s friends would already be around and he knew that was important to her as many of Lauren’s friends live out of state. Chris worked with Lauren’s friend to pick out a house right on the water so that they could have a nice lake backdrop. Come Saturday morning, they were getting ready to go to a local brewery and were taking some photos before they left. Chris asked Lauren to come down to the dock where he got down on one knee! Lauren of course said yes and when she turned around, all of their friends were all on the deck cheering. When they got inside, Lauren was surprised to find that all the previous birthday decor had been taken down and in its place were engagement decorations! When they got to the brewery, Lauren was still under the impression it was for her friend’s birthday but Chris had coordinated both of their families to be there and surprise Lauren. It was perfect!
