Kristen and Ted exchanged vows in Maryland’s beautiful Jefferson Patterson State Park surrounded by friends and family. With pops of color, a rustic feel and a gorgeous nature setting, Kristen and Ted’s wedding was the perfect blend of charm and beauty.

THEIR STORY

Kristen and Ted started off as friends and soon became best friends. Ted bugged Kristen about dating him all the time, and asked her about three or four times to be his girlfriend. She always told him no. Ted was so determined that on the way to celebrate Kristen’s 23rd birthday, in a limo surrounded by friends, Ted turned the music and yelled out, “Kristen will you be mine!?” followed by some awkward silence.

One year later, Kristen finally realized how much he really cared for and was there for her no matter what she was going through. Ted told her that he wasn’t going to ask her out anymore and that she had to ask him to be her boyfriend! On March 16, 2013 Kristen knelt down and presented Ted with a ring, in a case with their first picture together inside, and asked him to be hers. The rest is history!

THE PROPOSAL

It had been two years since they officially started dating and Kristen had just been accepted into dental hygiene school. They were vacationing up in Squirrel Island off the coast of Maine with his family, kayaking around the island. They decided to stop off at Sea Glass Beach and started looking for blue sea glass. All of a sudden, Ted said, “Hey I found something blue for you right here!” and was kneeling in the water as he said it. Kristen walked over to Ted and he handed her a family heirloom ring with blue sapphires and diamonds. “I was like babe you found this?! He’s like no babe will you marry me? I said of course! Best day ever!”
