Boathouse at Sunday Park Wedding | Midlothian, Virginia

Amanda and Ethan officially became Mr. & Mrs. this past weekend surrounded by family and friends in a fun brunch wedding. With the gorgeous Boathouse at Sunday Park as their background, the two exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony filled with stunning views, flower-men, duck friends and an adorable and sleepy ring bearer.

Starting out as neighbors in high school, Amanda forced Ethan into a friendship. Though Ethan refused to hangout with Amanda outside of school, they would walk home together everyday.

A couple years later, Ethan’s family decided to move to Colorado and everything changed. From flirtatious texts and flights back to Virginia, their relationship blossomed. When his family was suddenly stationed overseas, Ethan decided to take a chance and pursue his love back in Virginia, and the rest is history. Four years later and through Army training, world traveling, adopting a cat, and college, their love has stayed strong and prevailed above all. Ethan finally popped the question at Niagara Falls on New Years 2021.

Next to the bride and groom, the star of the ceremony was Amanda’s adorable nephew Levi who unaccustomed to the Virginia humidity couldn’t keep awake for his ring bearer duties. Although he was out like a light and napping during the ceremony, he woke up just in time for the reception!

For their favors, Amanda and Ethan decided upon something special and unique, Blue Spruce seedlings from the GreenWorld Project. The project which originated in Kingston, New York circa 1990 was founded for the love of the environment. Its mission is to encourage people to plant trees for many different reasons whether it may be for remembrance, promotional, wedding or baby showers.

Amanda and Ethan, congratulations to you both! I am so excited for the two of you and can’t wait to see how you take over the world!
